IFIS Celebrates Research Excellence: Enrique Casanova Awarded at X CEICYT

Santo Domingo, D.N. — The Institute of Physics of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (IFIS) is pleased to announce that our Research Assistant and final-year student at the School of Physics, Enrique Ernesto Casanova Benítez, has been awarded Second Place in the area of Scientific and Mathematics Education during the tenth edition of the Student Congress on Scientific and Technological Research (X CEICYT), organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT).

The recognition was presented this Tuesday, November 25, at a formal ceremony held at the Patrick N. Hughson Auditorium of the Dominico Americano Cultural Institute University (UNICDA).

Casanova Benítez was distinguished for his outstanding research titled:

"Symmetries as a differential basis for compatible operators of the Klein-Gordon equation"

This work represents a significant contribution to the study of fundamental mathematical structures in theoretical physics. This achievement not only highlights the individual talent of our students but also reaffirms the unwavering commitment of the Institute, the Faculty of Sciences, and the UASD to academic excellence and cutting-edge research in the Dominican Republic.
