Jesus Olivera Cabo holds a PhD in Physical Sciences specializing in Materials Physics from the University of Oviedo, where he received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award and the European Doctorate Mention. His research focuses on the development of micro/nanomaterials and smart sensors for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) in civil engineering and transportation. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Research Division at the Directorate General of Customs (DGA) and as a lecturer and researcher at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD). He possesses extensive experience in analytical instrumentation and has led projects funded by the European Union and MESCYT, holding multiple patents and indexed publications.
